I dunno about all that... like the word "imaginary/imagery" and of course, you mention my name sake,
I purchased this much anticipated documentary and “claimed” anti-Oliver Stone film on DVD over 12 months ago. It has since sat on my DVD shelf collecting dust, as I now know why some of the footage never saw the light of day. Although many people and resources were collected and collated to produce “When you’re Strange” I think it failed miserably to hit the mark, especially with contemporary conscious audiences. The reasons are many and varied; although I tend to believe that it failed to resonate with fans on a personal level, and kept them at a distance from emotionally bonding with the content of the film. The presentation of imagery we have seen ad finitum and ad nauseum, and the much hyped new stuff, was just that, “much hyped”. The documentary was mono-tone and boring, and when inquisitive minds ask me what to read and watch to get a glimpse of Jim Morrison and the Doors, I tell them read NHGOA, Riders on the Storm, and watch “The Doors” by Oliver Stone, has some inaccuracies, but a great enduring tribute.
inquisitive minds killed the Cat...whatelse? oh, hold on I'm thinkin',*can't spell*, Serpendipity, yea, I like that word... *did I spell it right?*so like, if we're all meant to be here, watch the movie, and we'll find out.
