What´s your opinion?

Would you rather have this as download or not?

I am for the download. You skip the shipping. And you would also be able to dl the accompanying photobook.

I am on the same page as you are. To skip the shipping is that good nor do I care so much for "holding a cd in my hands". One as a consumer made the shift to digital, years ago. Downloading, makes it easy to consume.

I want the box. Call me old school but for special limited releases like this, I want the actual box in hand. Even in the original press release it says "For the super-fan who still loves packaging." I'm all for digital for any other band or performer but when it comes to The Doors stuff I still want the box, digi-pak or even the plastic junk regular CD's come in. Even though I hate those plastic sleeves, I'd take that over digital for THEM only.

Now when it comes to the downloads we've been waiting for well that's different, those won't be shows (i think) but just singles. I'll take those on anything really. They're cooooooooooooooooming to I guess according to Jeff who says in Management terms I believe he said 3-4 months. Which puts us around X-Mas time I hope. We'll see.

Thank you!!

Digital singles are now LIVE at www.thedoors.com

We've just cleared all hurdles, enabled the servers, and we'll be populating over the next little while (give it some time as we work on it).

Next up - BMA unreleased singles! BUT....will take a bit.

Unreleased BMA singles meaning: unheard or not yet released music? What could that be?
Thanks!

Why are all these downloads 256 kbps mp3? Even Rhino's website offers their downloads in FLAC!

FLAC would be nice for digital downloads, the mp3 can't capture the whole quality of the music like the cds

90% of the people who buy music on iTunes or wherever don't have a clue about sound quality...That's pretty much a fact.

Most people want music to be "useful/practical" and for it to go along with their every day lives.

If you really think you find sound quality in cds be it FLAC or whatever, you should try and hear vinyl LPs on a high-end hi-fi system.

There is no comparison WHATEVER!
