How did Ray want to be remembered?

We all know that Jim wanted people to remember his words.

So what did Ray want us to remember about him? The music? I remember a 1960's interview. Where Ray said "give the music a chance"

I dunno ... probably , that he was a faithful husband to Dorothy, since the 60's, had a passion for music above all else *except Dorothy, of course* and and and he'd want to be to remembered by fans like you, who keep his memory alive.*fuvk, did I go off topic?*

Stupidgirl wrote a nice answer, believe it or not! :D I agree, he would like to be remembered by fans like you, who keep his memory alive, for his passion for music... I don't know was Ray a faithful husband to Dorothy (to be remembered as such), but at least it was a great "achievement" for them (and also for Robby and Lynn) to stick together for so long, esp. in music business.. He would like to be remembered as the greatest organist of all time, of course!!! As an organist of the world's best band ever! And being able to lift his leg so high even in his age...
